A new world record may be set this Saturday, Sept 25th. I am part of a group that is attempting to break our own existing Guiness World Record for the largest Pumpkin Pie.

The existing record from 2005 was 12 feet across and 2020 pounds. This year's attempt is a 20 foot pie with ??? weight.

This is very fun and challenging. A lot of work building an oven that is 28 x 28 feet. Hooking up all the gas for heat. Having the pan built. Getting all the ingredients together. The list goes on and on.

So check us out on-line or watch for us on the internet news. Our group has made it to cnn.com three times over the past few years.

Check us out at growgiants.com or on facebook at New Bremen Pumpkinfest.

This is the 2005 record.

A new World Record for Pumpkin Pie was set on Saturday - 20 foot across and 3,699 pounds. We started this pie from scratch with mostly donated ingredients.

Here are pictures of the crust being rolled out and the filling being poured in ... from 55 gallon drums.

More pictures later.

Congrats!

Okay, When do WE get a piece of the pie? (it's my favorite btw)

Wow!!! Respect for the people who baked it and who ate it.
Congratulations!

Wow! FABULOUS!!!

How did you bake it? Just heat up that big tent? Or put burners under the pie?
