Hey!

I had my first Grand mal seizure 11th April and hadn't had any wird feelings since then. However, when I was at work just after lunch today I suddenly had a strange feeling, fuzzy head and my heart was racing. For the next hour or so I was hot/cold and my arms and legs were twitching. I now have a slight headache.

Does anyone get the same feelings, and do you think the two are related or it was just a funny feeling like when you get if you are going to faint, and it doesn't quite happen?

Thanks,

:) x

It sounds like it could have been a simple partial seizure. I get some of the same symptoms when I have one. My stomach gets sick feeling, my heart begins to race, and I get a tingling feeling in my hands and feet.. then the twitching comes about. I have a headache afterwords and Im tired and sore.

Ok thanks for the reply!

I will definitely mention it at my first appointment then ( In 3 weeks time!)

P.s. I love your boy's names! :-)

Most of the time unless there is someone there to actually see me have the seizure I don't know that I've had it.

I'll have alot of the same feelings happen to me when I'm having a seiuze.

Usually after every seizure that I have I have a headache and I'm very tired. This is one clue to me that if I think I did have a seiuzre and I feel like that then I'm pretty sure I've had one.

Defently tell your dr about this at your appt.

So far I've had so many simple partials, I can't even keep track and most of them feel that exact same way. Sorry :(

Try to keep track of as many as you can so you are able to tell your neuro knows what's going on. Maybe carry around a small tablet or something with you and write down when it happened, this way you'll make sure you'll remember to do it and won't forget to.

If the thinks you're only having 3 as apposed to 20 (or more) then he will know how treat you better.

Ok. Thanks for your time in reading and replying :-)

Have now put dates, times & symptoms on my mobile. Lets just hope nothing else happens whilst I'm abroad supporting a school trip! That's from4th to 8th July, whereas my appt isn't till the 10th!

An update- I had my first appointment & he didn't really say too much about the weird feeling. He just focussed on my grand mal & other history. That all being said he explained that he didn't know what had caused it but many people may just have the one and that is all in their lifetime.

I had an ecg whilst there & that was fine :-), & I now have an appt for an eeg on 8th August. Just want the time between now & then to come quickly so I don't have to keep worrying!

Hope everyone is doing well,

:-) x
