Does the weather affect seizures?

We've been having extremely hot and humid days, it is July after all. I know that most people find it draining, but it scares me!! I haven't really that much experience, 6 seizures over about 6 & 1/2 yrs - 20 months seizure free at the moment. Am I just being overly cautious, or can extremes in weather provoke seizures? I just get soooo wiped out, trying to keep cool and take a nap when I can. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Heat does seem to play a triggering role for some folks, but not for others. If you feel like you are getting overheated make sure to stay hydrated, take a cold bath or shower, out a wet washcloth on your neck or forehead, and be careful not too overexert. Body temperature is a trigger for my son. Our neurologist has told us to keep a close eye on him whenever the temperature gets above 85* F. He has a SoaKool Cooling Scarf that he will wear when it gets warmer than that.
