I rocked it out on clickword today - used all but 2 tiles and got my big crosses completed.

I found that clickword is a *lot* easier if you get a handle on possible 3 letter words. I try to set up 6 letter words using the 2x tiles. Then I think about the most common letter in the 6 letter word and try to set up a 3 letter word using it so that I can place the common letter after everything is set. In the meantime, It helps to place 3x3 crosses (using a vowel to complete the middle) or "L"s (using a consonant to complete the corner) wherever there is space while waiting for tiles that you want for the big words. It doesn't always work out and sometimes you have to just take what you can get if the board fills up, but when it works, you score big points.
P.S. There is a blue button at the top right - just above the board. Click it to get a word checker where you can check if a word is valid. It helps a lot!

Nice! completing two words (one horizontal, one vertical) with one letter doubles the score for both words. If you do that with a 2x tile, the word using the 2x tile is scored 4x. If you manage to use two 2x tiles in the same word, that word is worth 8x!
