Hi there!
Just for those who don't know me, I have had multiple daily seizures since September 2011 and was put on Keppra in Feb 2012.
I have a variety pack of simple and complex seizures but mainly simple.
I have an autonomic component for sure with a racing heart and increased blood pressure to go along with the mainly atonic nature of my seizures although they can be twitchy afterwards and other fun features that I won't bore you with!
My epileptologist suspects that my seizures begin from deep within my brain but I am still awaiting my EEG results from almost 6 weeks ago and my Keppra dose is to remain the same until I can get in to see him on his cancellation list.
What I'm worried about is my heart. The past few times that I have been in the ER they place me in the cardiac unit until they finally get my medical history.
Hospitals have their hands tied until I see my epileptologist.
In October and November I found that I could run and was stronger but now I find that I'm weaker.
Does any else worry about their ticker? I'm almost 37.
I'm emotionally handling things pretty well now though which is good.
I'm sure others have been in my shoes though, right? And your hearts have continued on ticking....
My body is just getting a little worn out I think. Hopefully I'm hearty! (ha ha)
THanks for reading!
