I was having small seizures during the day yesterday and in the evening they went into actual 'blanking out' seizures, ones where I have no idea what I'm doing.

My husband was keeping up with me making sure I didn't hurt myself or anything else. I don't know how he does it sometimes?

When my alarm went off to take my meds I must have been starting to have a seizure because I didn't realize it. My husband told me it was medicine time and I grabbed my pill box, opened 2 days and dumped them in my hand. I got my bottle of water to start to take them when he realized what I had done.

He hurried and grabbed the pills out of my hand and tried to figure out which ones I was to take and which ones I wasn't. I kept fighting with him trying to pull the pills out of his hand to take them all arguing with him that I took that many at that time. He finally got things figured out and gave me what I was to take.

If it wasn't for him I would have ended up taking twice the ammount of pills I should have taken, who know's what would have ended up happening to me????

It's like I'm a little kid when I have a seizure and always have to have an adult around me at all times. I don't think I know what I'd do with out him.

Glad nothing happened to you. Maybe you could get one of those pill boxes that go seven days but have a three time a day deal, morning, afternoon, evening. Each part a different color or maybe two separate ones, depending how many pills you have to take.

I have 2 different pill boxes. One is for my am meds and one for my pm meds. I keep them in 2 seperate places.

He saw I opened Tues and Thurs (probably cause they both started with T) and went to take all of them.

I try to have everything set up to make it easy as possible but when I'm having a seizure that's easier said than done.

I've seen a pill box that has days of the week and not only that but each day comes apart so you can take it with you if you go somewhere and be able to take them. Perhaps you can get one of those, two of them and the morning pills keep in the kitchen where most people go first thing in the morning or the bathroom and the evening pills in the bedroom. Only have like Monday in Kitchen/Bathroom AM, Monday in Bedroom for PM.

Fill all days but only have one day at a time for each day and each time you take the days pills, put the empty one away where you store the rest of the week and take out the new one's for the next day, etc.

They have this pill box on amazon, like I was talking about, you can snap out each day of the week pills to take, one day at a time or keep them altogether.

Valerie -
I'm glad your husband was there to help you before you took the double amount of meds.
I think even if we have a pill box there are still times when we can mix up our meds.
I've used pill boxes for 10 years (had a few different types over the years) & I found that there were times that I took the wrong meds without realising (eg took my AM meds instead of my PM meds). It was usually when I was really tired or if I had just had a seizure.

Husbands are the best! I have taken the wrong dose a time or two and I use the same system...two pill containers, one for am and one for pm kept in two different places. We are just so special :)

You describe it so well. My boyfriend helps me keep all mine in check and I keep my sons meds in a whole different room. I know how you feel. And this heat does not help my seizures. ;)
