Well, here we are with yet another lamictal increase. Paige moved up to 250mg in late August and we are yet to have full control of her morning myoclonics. We called the neuro earlier this week and her blood levels will allow for another increase and we are hopeful that the 300mg will help to have better control of her myoclonics.
My question is ... is it unrealistic to think we will have full control of her morning myoclonics? FYI - Paige is dx'd with JME. I know we need to keep her triggers in check - meds every day, minimum of 8 hours of sleep, low stress, and no alcohol. Am I being too optimistic in thinking she should have better control? She is having myocloincs about twice per week. Some mornings only 1-2 "jerks" and other morning 7-10 "jerks". She is being a trooper but is starting to get frustrated. She worries about waking up every morning
Thanks for reading and listening.
