any vitamins or anything that will help with side effects?!

i tried vitamin b but it didnt help, just so tired and drowsy and sore head all the time its really hard dealing with a 2 yr old boy when im like this!

whats a sublingual form? i have tried both but i still felt same bout 3 months into taking it

How are you sleeping at night? If you're having trouble sleeping maybe consider taking a very small melatonin supplement. (Check with your doctor first).

Have your blood tests been normal? Have you been tested for any deficiencies? My E meds give me low red and white blood cell counts (which can make me low-energy), so I take a vitamin with B12 to help. I take a regular B-complex with all the "Bs" since they work best together. And I eat foods with plenty of iron.

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) can also help boost energy, though if you are eating a well-balanced, healthy diet, you are probably getting enough already.

Before taking any supplements, check with your doctor first. :)

my tests always seem to come back normal but they always get taken when i feel ok lol

my diet is terrible i prob should eat more healthy but i dont like veg etc

maybe iron would help i should maybe try it and maybe get a dearer brand of the b's

What sort of side effects are you struggling with?

Luckily (or not) for me, the drowsiness and apathy that the tegretol causes seems to cancel out any kepprage >.<

I'm going to ask to get taken off tegretol tomorrow when i see the neurologist, i'm just sleeping way too much and i'm only at 600mg! (3000mg keppra)

I have added a protein powder and vit. C to my daily medic. This made a big diffenence for me. I am already taking Vit. B6, B12 and folic acid.

I tried to find the post where I read about so that I could share with you. However I was not able to find it.

just tired all the time drowsy alot sore heads and around the eyes feel puffy light headed sometimes just no energy ometimes double vision. the nero said about maybe going down abit on the tegretol but course they never get bk to ya about ya levels, mine are always ok which i dont get

Have you had your thyroid checked? Hypothyroidism can cause fatigue and puffy eyes. Of course, so can just sleeping poorly, so that's probably more likely...

The blood levels are just a standard suggested range, not an absolute. Folks often have seizure control with numbers that are on either side of that range. So if your neuro is suggesting a slightly lower dose to lessen side effects, it might be worth a try.T he main thing to watch out for is that your seizures stay controlled, not the actual blood levels. (My seizures are controlled with much lower blood levels of Lamictal than the suggested range).

Another submission gave me an idea. Try getting a level drawn right before you take your meds and Over the counter Vit.. You might get different results. I usually try to always get a low reading, of course if he knew what my high was he might have taken me off the drug sooner, instead of waiting 24+ years.
