I wish I could learn more about these, but I still don't have a name for them. Anyone have any idea what kind of seizure this is?

Eric,

Interesting you should say the computer monitor triggers your seizures. there is one LCD tv in my house that triggers my seizures. The other doesn't. Most often the type of seizure is the one where things get FREAKISHLY LARGE. It always puzzles the heck out of me because the picture is huge, and it still fits inside the TV's frame, but it's not cut off so it fits in there. It's the whole picture just totally gigantic. Inside a smallish TV. So totally weird.

If I was photosensitive wouldn't ALL tv's set me off?

I have a similar experience. My old monitor was big clunky thing & I never got these "drawn in" episodes. My nice new sleek & thin monitor is what does it to me. I don't often watch TV (I haven't owned one since Feb.) but T.V. has never caused this sort of reaction that my monitor does.

As far as being sensitive to all T.V.s, screens etc. I figure that whatever it is about the one screen that triggers seizures that is a photosensitive reaction. If someones seizures are triggered by a quick strobe light they are considered photosensitive even if a slow strobe doesn't trigger a seizure. I'm assuming that same principle would apply here with the monitors.

By definition being photosensitive means having
1. Sensitive or responsive to light or other radiant energy.
2. Abnormally sensitive or reactive to light.

I don't think it would have to be all light or radiant energy. Of course there are various levels as to how photosensitive someone is.

I get a tickle in my throat and i dont really know how to explain it but they say i run up to someone anyone and hug them real hard and just keep repeating "im having a tickle throat" Over and over and my lips turn a lil blue and my heart starts to beat real fast but its crazy cause i feel it coming a i just run to whom ever is the closest. one time it was the cashier at the store. Any one ever had those in their throat like me?

It took me a very long time to get use to our big screen HD Tv
I still tend to prefer it on regular channels and I still prefer the old Analog TV
The colors and movement can be too much .
Computer screen as Well I have to get a new computer soon and worry about the newer screens. Sometimes if this one is flickering a little I can't stay on.
