Anyone experiencing a vapor sensation?

Hi All!

I am recently diagnosed and still finding a med. I am taking topamax. What I am experiencing is a vapor sensation throughout my entire body. It is like vicks vapor rub is all over me or Ben gay. It is not painful but extremely annoying. It never goes away. In addition my head has cold spots, especially my teeth. Anyone else?? I see my doc on wednesday.

Nobody seems to be answering this one. I've never felt the vicks vaporub feeling myself. But never say never. There are all kinds of seizures that produce all kinds of sensations. Burning and tingling can be part of a Jacksonian seizure.

Other things can cause skin to feel like that too, like hormonal fluxuations. It could also be Paresthesia, which is a condition when the nerves somewhere are pressed on or have pressure. Usually it creates a tingling or numb feeling, but I've heard of a burning sensation, too.

The list goes on... neuropathy, diabetes, shingles, severe anxiety, stroke, allergies, circulation problems...

What medication are you on? Some of them could also cause the symptoms you are feeling. Like Lamictal. (That's the evil drug I'm on)

Your doctor needs to sort all this out and help you figure out what it is. Are you keeping a record/journal of when it happens, and the circumstances surrounding it? (seizure, took meds a couple of hours ago, etc. Or maybe you have it all the time)??? This will help your doc in the diagnostic process.

I did have that "VapoRub" sensation when I was first on Lamictal. For some reason just my legs. But it went away eventually...
