I recently renewed my script for my medication, I was not able to go to my usual chemist so I went to another. They told me that they did not sell the brand of lamotrigine (generic Lamictal) that I was getting at the other chemist but the brand they sell is exactly the same thing.:ponder:
Since being on the new brand I am constantly thirsty, my mouth is always dry and I've been drinking excessive amounts of water because I just always feel thirsty morning, noon, and night. It's even affecting my sleep, I keep waking up thirsty.
The box is different although it still says Lamotrigine and the tablets are different in appearance and taste too.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced side affects after switching brands?

It does

happen. Different manufacturers use different binders, and other ingredients as fillers--and those can affect the generics. Consequently, they may affect you in other ways, such as those that are currently showing up right now.

So no, you're not imagining things......
