O.k....Speber..I just saw you had them out. I really hope you feel better.Rest up and drink plenty. Take advantage of takin it easy! : )) Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Thanks Michelle....me too....

Sleep apnea can raise your blood pressure over time, so I'm hoping all of this stuff kinda goes away after I get past this tonsilectomy recovery!

Incidentally, the nasty cough I DO attribute to Lisinopril (my old bp med) and it's now completely gone since I switched to Amlodipin!

Peace

Hey Speber,

Glad the cough went away. So weird huh? You take a med for one thing and get something else. I am on BP meds too. Do you use cpap or will you not need it since you've had surgery? That would be great! I am going to the cardiologist in a few weeks to just get another workup. Just to make sure everything is o.k. with my heart and not the cause of the seizures. In the past all was well. But at that point I did not know they were seizures.
Hope your throat feels much better.

Michelle

Sorry to hear it! It'll get better.Take some pain meds if you can! I personally hate pain meds though. I just don't like to be doped up. I'm a wimp!

: )

Hello. I had my tonsils taken out about 8 yrs ago and it went fine. I do have trouble with the anesthiesia, i get sick,throw-up alot, which then caused me to throw-up my meds. i then have seizures. I always have to get a injection along with the anesthiesia so i don't throw-up. I had a sore throat and it almost closed up. I had an absest on my tonsel. They removed it and i have never had a sore throat since the surgery. It worked out well. The only problem is it weakens your immune system. It affects everyone differently. Wish you good luck! Take care!

Thanks Mandy!...

OPDAY+10....finally weaned off the pain killers! GEEZ!

Tonsilectomy's suck!

:clap:Yeah!!! Glad you are out of the tonsil woods-got your voice back? Just sooo happy to hear you are no longer in the acute pain zone:banana:

Thanks Peeps!.....

Yeah, today's been rough....I actually think I had some pain-killer withdrawal goin' on! I've NEVER been on pain killer THAT long (damn near two weeks SOLID!).

Anybody looking to take there tonsils out for purely cosmetic reasons (Birdy) or to be with the , uh-hmm, 'IN-CROWD' as it were....

........DON'T DO IT!:paperbag:....lifes too short to give up coffee and beer for TWO WEEKS!

PS. I'z back!

Tonsils cosmetic?

Never had any COSMETIC, I'm naturally beautiful! All 15+ have been to improve quality of life and NONE were for fun. Although the morphine does make it feel a WHOLE lot better. la...lala...la...la...la..la.la.la...lalala...la :noevil:
