OK I am so new to all this. Just dx with temporal epilepsy with a "jamais vu" episode that took me to my new neuro. THen IN The hospital I had a definitely "dejavu" one.

But for some time I keep hearing music..faintly..when I used to drive.. and then yesterday honest to god when I was flushing the toilet. I even waited to see what it was. I am always afraid I am missing my cell..but it does NOT play music. Toilets do not play music do they???

How the heck will I know if I am having a seizure..living along and all.

THanks for any responses,
Jan

yup.
I usually think its my cell phone *which does play music* or i think someone turned the TV on or the radio. or the one in the shower *in shower radio* and then I have to check. I usually can't tell what the song its is either.

I hear music too.

It always seems to be the same song. I recognize the song and know that a simple partial is about to happen when is plays in my head, but I couldn't tell you what song it is now. I don't really know the exact sequence of events, but I get the thick tongue feeling, metallic taste, the song and the scalp creepy crawly tingling. As far as the song goes, I don't want to know what it is because I'm afraid if I consciously think about the song, I'll have another simple partial.

A song  It continues to amaze me at the number of ways E manifests itself. I think I would really freak out if I started hearing phantom noises.

Not that I know of since I don't remember my complex partial seizures but I'm told I humm during them sometimes. I wish someone would film me during a seizure so I could see how lost yet musically talented I am.
