Hey guys
I recently bought a supplement called noopept, it has been found to improve memory, learning capacity, focus, and concentration.
It's the most highly reviewed supplement out there. I bought it on a whim after a recommendation without really thinking of interactions it may have with my current meds. I take 1000g of keppra twice a day, 400g valpro twice a day and 200g of lamictal at night. So yeah, anyone know much about any possible interactions? Couldn't find much on the web.
I'm really hoping this will help my memory and cognitive function out as its fairly average atm.
Cheers

Never even heard of it until your post so I have no information or advice.

I have never heard of it either. The best person to ask about interactions, however, would be your pharmacist.

Looked a little deeper about different types of nootropics and noopept: "there is a study showing that it doesn't prevent seizures on it's own but does increase effectiveness of some AEDs but not others. also has neuroprotective effects."
There's a few more study's pretty much saying same thing. Only problem with checking with my doctor is he most likely wouldn't know, and say "don't do it" to cover himself.

I also have never heard of it. I'd ask your pharmacist about it too.

I'm careful about taking anything that hasn't been prescribed, recommended or discussed about with a dr first.

I tried taking vitamin B12 because I read that it helped with kepprage which I have very bad. My husband saw that I was taking it yelled at me because I'd not talked about it with my neuro first so I stopped. That's when I realized that it was causing me to have seizures because after I stopped taking it my seizures went back to normal.

This has even happened with meds that have been prescribed by other drs. You'd think that a dr would know if you should be taking something or not but everyone reacts differently when I comes to meds so it's not the drs fault at all. Something that might be ok for you to take might not be ok for someone else. If you decide to take it, even if you're told it's ok, and notice anything happening out of the ordinary then stop ASAP.
