Hey my names Jake I've had epilepsy for over 10 years now and unfortunately its still not under control. We have tried every medication there is available and now we're cutting right down to just having 400ml of Lamictal and then maybe even cutting out the medication all together. The specialist even said to go back on one of the old medications but definitely not doing that. You just tell me what you think, you might be going through the same thing.

Hi, jake. I'm in the same boat as you are, but I've had my epilepsy for 21 years. I read the part in your post about going back to medicines you've already tried. My neurologist suggested this to me, and I asked him why & he said, "Well, there's a possibility that your brain chemistry may have changed and could re-act differently to a medicine you've already tried.", so this is something to think about. However, if you've not had much luck with medication, maybe the alternative approaches that Nakamova mentioned in her post are worth looking into. Regardless, take care & welcome to CWE.
