Has anyone had luck with seizure control on this diet? I really need to lose weight in am looking for the one that may help with seizures and weight. Feel free to move this post if it is not in quite the right spot. How about a comparison of diets gard, ketogenic etc.?

Thanks

John

Ketogenic diet is a modified Atkins diet and has proven to be quite successful in management of seizures. I think it will help you on both accounts (definitely for weight loss, for sure!). I would like to try it with my son but I just know he would 'sneak' high carb/sugary foods when I'm not looking, so I won't be able to tell if it's working for his seizures.

Thanks, Nakamova

I don't see my new doc for almost two months and the headaches, shakes and auras are all driving me crazy. See a counselor Wednesday hope that helps. Losing weight and getting healthier can't hurt though!

Good luck John. I agree that working on your overall health is a plus. It's good to ease into a diet, and be patient -- some of the dietary stuff can take a few months to show benefits as your system adjusts.

I have been considering asking the owner of this site:
http://www.glutenfreedaily.com/

if they would give those here at CWE a discount on their program.

**or Bernard perhaps you have something already written up for sponsors that you could send the owner?
