Don't ya just love them? just kidding..

I used to have them periodically, often hours before a sp or tc. Now they've been visiting me daily for the last two weeks or so. Sometimes they happen on and off for hours.. and I'm just feeling tired and wonky overall. No sp's or tc's since this started though.

It's hard to concentrate at work, which is one reason why I'm posting on here right now.. lol. Seriously though it takes a lot of effort to concentrate on something normal. It's making my job more difficult.

I'd almost have a weekly seizure and then be okay for the rest of the week than feeling unstable for hours a day. The constant auras induce feelings of fear, anxiety, sadness.. which makes it hard to differentiate from the actual feelings I might be having. Also the deja vu aura about having a deja vu aura (and so on until it stops) is rather unnerving.

Not really sure there's any advice to be given here, just looking to complain in general or maybe find some empathy. :)

Hi Chris,

Yep auras can sometimes suck just as much as any other seizure.

I used to often take auras, I think as time went on I had them more often then I realised. Not long before my brain surgery last March I was having at less 1 aura a week but could've had more auras that I wasn't aware of. I guess my auras would be classed as deja vu because they were always in the form of a strange dream & it was always the same dream but I only ever remembered this dream when I had an aura. I always try to cope with my seizures but I did used to sometimes get a little frustrated because I have a lot of silly dreams so wasn't always sure if I only had a strange dream or it was an aura dream.

I haven't had any seizures or even an aura since my surgery last March which is great because all I hoped for going into the surgery was that it would at less help control the auras.

I hope you can get those auras under control :).

I was having many deja vu daily, they didn't go into a simple partial seizure. Come to find out, I was having side effects to to MUCH B-12.

I thought I would share just in case this helps you.
