Hi Guys
I forgot to mention before,we had a checkup of my brother in 2004 and the doctor said after performing tests the i.q. of my brother is 63% now he can speak few words,he understands us very well but doesnt write or study.He is dependent on us for toilet purposes.He gets frightened by dark areas,i mean where there is no light,but when he sleeps at night,all lights are turned off.There's a guy living in our neighbour,he had a fight with someone and my brother saw it and he is scared of him too.He doesnt get along with people at first but after some time he mixes with them very well.Is there any activity or treatment that can help my brother?

Well, is there an activity your brother really likes doing? I'd suggest using that and seeing if you can get him into a group.
For example, if he loves painting, music, anything like that then take him to a class or something. It may take a few attempts to get him to stay in the room if it's against his routine but it could help him make friends and stuff.

Yea he loves watching few tv shows,he loves going around in the family car,with me on the bike,loves playing with the kids of his age.Music not that much,painting no.He joined a kindergarten a couple of years back,but he didn't liked to sit in the class.As i said before he does not get mixed up with people at first.
At home if we give him the blocks game and tell him to build the tower he does not do that,but if we tell him we will go shopping or stuff then he does that.If we give him more advanced puzzle games like putting all red,yellow etc colours in one corner and other in different corners he is not willing to learn it.

I looked over your last post, and I am not finding a question.
There are some wonderful ways people are finding to help their children with autism.

I have done a lot of research because I have a son on the spectrum. It was one reason that I was able to connect the dots to see ways to help my daughter, who has the seizures. I was healing her GI system and thus healing her organs which then helps to raise her seizure threshold. She is med free and her seizures are improving.
Something to consider- at least for improvement in the quality of life.

There is no other alternative for an EEG, that I know of. There are other brain scanning type of tests, such as an MRI, MRA, but your brother would need to be sedated while having these tests, because the patient has to remain still.
Acting drunk "after" taking medication, would be an good indication that this side effect was most definitely as a result of taking that medication.
I believe all the other questions you had were also answered, and I can't add any additional information.
I would suggest that you perhaps look at groups on Yahoo, that might be helpful with Autism.
My research has directed me to nutrition, virus elimination, chelation, vitamin and mineral supplementation for autism.

Sorry, been busy with life stuff.
I don't have all the answers, far from it. Just keep doing what you're doing. There's no easy way to go about things and you need to find what works for your brother. It'll probably take a lot of trial and error, but he'll get there in his own time.
It's not a question of being "willing" to learn stuff. You need to find a way to engage him at his own level and work with him in that way. It takes time, patience and understanding.

One thing I would add. A recent study, using PET scans, linked abnormal temporal lobe activity with children who have autism. It sure would explain the increased chance of seizures in people with autism. Give this a read:

I don't know if a PET scan would be useful for your brother. It identifies places in the brain that have a different level of glucose uptake. Low uptake means autism or seizures. High uptake usually means a tumor.

Endless regarding that PET scan i dont think my brother will go for it.When we went for the EEG scan he removed the wires that the doctors set up on his head,that is why i asked for the alternatives.So is there any?
