Back from veeg

I have been MIA latley. I just dont know where my head is, and having a hard time just keeping track of day to day things. I went in on the 17 for my veeg. I had 3 hrs sleep from the 17 to thursday afternoon. Finally they said I could go to sleep, and sleep I did. Next thing I know I had a couple people standing around me asking me what day it was, and did I know where I was. Heck I didnt even know who I was. I came home today. He said that they recorded a little activity, but still do not have a definet focal point. He seemed more concerned w/ my reaction to the flashing light part of the eeg ( lots of vomit) I have to follow up w/ my neuro next month, but I feel it was a waste of time. Not to mention I am sooo weak

Welcome home, and I'm sure you'll have the
answers and results of the video monitoring
soon. I can relate to it all - but you were put
there for a reason so they could try to capture
the seizures if they could. And apparently from
your post, they must had, because you made
mention of regarding your Neurologist's remarks
of the Light Test and your reaction to it. Women
tends to be more photic / photosensitive than
men; so it is possible they might have captured
something there. But however, it is not unusual
for someone to be in video EEG and not have
any seizures recorded, there's been many who
have gone and not have had anything recorded.

It's been a "dry joke" that video EEG is a "cure
all" for Epilepsy ....

((Lisa)) Oh dear, I was hoping SO much you would have a more definite VEEG of some sort.
And now I'm sorry you have to wait so long to see your neuro and hear the results.

of the problems. Although it's easier say than it is to do, try not to fret over it, and sit back and relax....try to gather your strength again. And just take things one day at a time.....

I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you......

I wish there would have been more activity, but I did my best. lol I even told the dr I dont know how to make them happen, they just do, although being in the hospital doesnt seem to make them happen. I know in the car ride home I felt really funny. Nothing happened, but I was very shaky, and my head felt weird. It funny how laying in a hospital bed can make you so weak, and tired. I feel like I have ran a 10k.

They didn't happen for Rebecca while at UCLA. In fact the team appeared only to be going through the motions. Nothing was done to provoke the episodes. They did not even ask when her period was to schedule it then.

Certainly doesn't mean that she does not have the seizures around the same time each month.

You could have been weak just from the hospital food. I would love to go through their cupboards and see what they have that is actually nutritious.
