I am titrating up on Lamotrigine. I am at 50mg twice a day. I have had simple and complex partial seizures. On Wednesday I go up to 75 mg twice a day. Since I went up to 50mg twice a day, I have been having some fairly violent dreams. I had dreams like this when I was much younger (about ages 8-23). I can remember them clearly afterwards. I know that the dreams are a side effect of the Lamotrigine. The dreams don't really bother me too much. They are like watching a movie. I am watching "myself" (it's me but it isn't) and others participate in whatever is going on but I am not involved in the action. I am an unobserved observer. I don't know it this makes sense. I am sure a psychiatrist would have a field day with it.
Last night, according to my DH, I was having a bad dream. He said I was thrashing around and moaning and mumbling. He "touched me and I woke up". I immediately went back to sleep. I slept until 11:00 this morning. My back is sooo sore. I remember waking up but I don't remember the dream at all ... not a single thing. My dreams are vivid and I remember them. Usually when I sleep, I sleep on my back and I don't disturb the sheet, etc. Last night I pulled the bottom sheet off the mattress. I wonder what is going on? I hope it was just a bad dream ... is it neuro worthy?
Thanks for the support. I am so glad I found this forum.:hugs:
