Hi everyone,
I just need a bit of advice from fellow forum members.
The problem i have is that when i have a tonic clonic seizure, which is nearly always whilst asleep i nearly always seem to bite my top lip, i am lucky in that i never bite my tounge like fellow sufferes. My top lip this morning is very swollen after having a bad night last night.
The tips i am after is can anyone give me any advice on how to get rid of the swelling on my top lip? I try reducing the swelling by using ice cubes by my top teeth are very sensitive to the cold. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks::bigsmile::noevil:

You could try Anbesol. It's a gel for relieving mouth and tooth pain, including sore gums. It's available over-the-counter here at drugstores -- don't know if they have it in England, but they must have something similar. There's also a medicated Chapstick called "Blistex" that could help. You could ask your dentist or chemist for a recommendation.

A lip balm with something like mint or eucalyptis in in will help with any pain because it cools it down, but as to the swelling, i wouldn't know.

My doc reccommended a cream once for bruising (cos i'm always bloody getting them lol) and it worked pretty well. Seemed to heal up much faster. Perhaps it's worth a visit to the GP? I can't remember what it was, but it had arnica in it. Not sure if that would be safe to use on your lip though.
