He told me to gradually decrease keppra and is trying me on lamotragene or however you spell it. He was going to try me on topamax but then he mentioned that can cause trouble with the preasure in your eyes so we said well in my left eye my vision is very very poor and my right eye is plastic so he said oh not a good idea then we need you to keep that left eye so lamotragene it is. He isn't convinced these migraines are because of my epilrpsy so we are none the wiser there.

Good luck with the med change, hope the lamotrigine helps.

In regards to your migraines do you have headache drs over there (from memory you live in UK?) who specialize in headaches/migraines etc?

Yes I live in the uk. Not as far as I'm aware, we just have neurologists and epilepsy nurses. We are convinced it's my epilepsy causing my migraines but he isn't. Only time I ever got/get migraines is when I have had some form of seizure. When I was ok with tegretol obviously I was started on low doses which didn't control my seizures til it was increased by quite a lot. Low doses just don't control it for me. I've had to come off the pill which I'm only on to help my implant control my endometriosis, had to stop taking the pill because I'm getting these migraines. So as a result of stopping the pill my endo is out of control. If it isn't epilepsy causing my migraines then why am I still getting my warnings/auras whatever he wants to call it. He knows Buddy knows when I'm going to have a seizure. I suggested/asked if an eeg of some sort would be worth doing he said no.

Did the enuro says why he thiught the migraines weren't seizure-related? Be curious to know why he's so sure.

At any rate, I hope the Lamotrigine helps with the seizures AND the migraines/

No he didn't. I have had to stop the pill for endometriosis and touch wood no migrains. Lamotrigine is a worry, just found out tonight that lamotrigine can cause drug induced lups well tegretol already did that. He knew about that too but still chose to put me on a lupus causing medication aka lamotrigine.

Are you in the UK Buddys Owner?

I've heard your health system isnt too great over there but any chance you could go for another opinion.

Yes I'm in the uk. The tories fault they would love to demolish our NHS or at least privatise it. Something odd happened, stopped the pill and no migraines or tummy problems apart from my endometriosis. Rather than trying lamotrigine and risking my drug induced lupus flaring which I don't want we are going to the doctor to see if there is another form if the pill I can take as my migraines and tummy issues except endo may be the fault of the pill and keppra interacting with each other. Got an appointment on 27/2/2017 with the epilepsy nurse too.
