We had a HUGE storm front come through our area (Northern Indiana) yesterday. I was fine when I came into work, but then after a couple of hours, the pressure dropped and tornado sirens were going off. Here's the thing....I had never experienced the feeling that I had yesterday when the pressure suddenly dropped. I felt the same way that I do after a seizure! As anyone else had this happen? :ponder: Normally storms don't effect me, but this was a large storm front.

We had the same storms roll through with a funnel cloud 6 miles away and a tornado damaging two dozen homes about 25 miles away. Sounds like no major injuries.

I had no problem with my E. Even when the tornado sirens were going off. However, this doesn't surprise me. The news said we were at a barometric pressure equal to a catergory three hurricane. The only time it was ever lower was the blizzard of 1978.

Yeah I have. We have blizzards all the time. And just in the last 5 years started getting tornados. Twisters were a rare thing in Canada and now we have about 2 or 3 a year in our area alone. We don't have shelters *one town does only because they were the first town hit and they got hit bad* and we don't have sirens either, but I can feel when its going to happen and I'll tell Chad that I think its going to be a storm or sometimes even a tornado. I always chalked it up to having pins and screws in my left arm, so that's what could tell. But I guess not. Hmm.

Its strange that I'm my own early detection system!

I used to live in the south and whenever there was a low pressure system building from the Gulf of Mexico, I could feel it for days in advance, mainly by a migraine and a feeling of pins and needles. Sure enough, a bad storm or a tornado would hit and the headache would disappear. Now that I'm in Colorado I can feel a low pressure system building from the south Pacific by a bad headache. I can usually predict a bad storm better than the weather person on TV just by listening to by body.

I'm right above you, now I know why it was so windy last night. I had 2 nocturnal seizures early this morn & I didn't think to consider the weather but it might have been the change in the pressure.

I know when I lived on the West Coast where it will start to rain one day in Oct or Nov. & not stop for 6 months, I would always get a huge seizure the day before the rain started regardless of how sunny or nice it was. I bought a fancy clock with a barometer, thermometer & hydrometer so that I can see if the changes effect me but it's hard to get in the habit of marking the pressure everyday.

Great! I am not crazy!! At least not certifiable! It was just the wierdest thing. I felt like my knees were going to buckle. Something to put in the book :D

I have SP seizures when I fly. I guess it must be the cabin pressure.

The same

storms went over this way as well.

I'm one who knows that the storms are coming BEFORE they get here. My body, my head--you name it, I know it thanks to some part of my body. But they don't affect my E that I've noticed.

I do remember feeling light-headed though.

The same storm went through here as well last tuesday night, I had a nocturnal seizure and woke up with sores in my mouth and a splitting p.i. headache (that took a couple of days to entirely go away- unless I had other seizures the next couple of nights)

Gee after a few days of feeling good , Maybe that's why I am sitting her feelin I was run over by a truck today...Have to watch that, We are having a cold snap
or Low go over us in Wi.
