I have a question for those that take Vimpat. With my dilantin there was a range that I needed to be within or I had problems 14- 20.Is there a test for Vimpat or is one of these drugs that either works or dosen't and you know it right of the bat.

Right now there isn't a whole lot known about the therapeutic range for blood levels of Vimpat. There's no standard dose that's suggested for all patients, there's no recommended range, and not a whole to be gained by checking blood levels. Dosing is based on how well you tolerate the med, and how well it controls your seizures. In other words, whatever works, works...

range

Kind of what I thought but had to ask, seems like a lot of the newer meds are that way, See what works and pray then pray some more

I'm praying it works for you. Good luck!
