Since being on the Topamax, I've had less of the oveheating thing.
But I am sat here now with the windows open and the fan on, and ice pack. But I am still boiling. This has gone on for over 5 hours now. Nothing has had any effect at all whereas it usually helps.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Can you sit in the bath or take a shower? Water can help cool down the body pretty quickly.

Do you have a fever?

If you have a fever, please see your doc ASAP. It can be an early symptom of a serious allergic reaction. Or hopefully just the flu.

If you are just hot, it really helps me to cool down my head and neck, and to put ice under my armpits (brrrrrrr!) and behind my knees. Major pulse points, and you lose heat through your head in a very efficient way. Also however my head feels the rest of my body seems to follow.

I use a migraine gel helmet when I have headaches. Maybe that would help - but use icepacks since you probably don't have a cranial gel helmet sitting around the house. For the future the link below also has chilling gel vests and neck ties. Look at the bottom of the web pages for more stuff.

I don't know about you, but it can take hours for me to cool all the way down after I've gotten hot. Whatever you are doing, keep it up.

Thanks. Will probably get a cooling vest if they deliver to the UK. :)
