Calling 911

This should probably be in the Padded Room.

Last night I had a grand mal that lasted about 7-9
minutes. My Dad saw it and told me after. My only question is why does he never call 911. It's honestly a necessity. My neurologist said 3 minutes, my neurosurgeon said 5. But he ignores that and said everytime I go it's pointless because they just add meds. But one time I went the MRI said I needed a life saving brain surgery. Sigh.

Can you get you get your neuro or some other health care provider to sit down with your dad and explain to him why he needs to respect your wishes about 911?

What do you mean? Because I want to go in because I'm aware it's dangerous after 5 minutes. Because of the lack of oxygen into the brain. And my neurologist explained that to him and he still after the meeting either did not understand or idk.

I was going to suggest the same thing as Nak.
Does your Dad go to your Neurologist appointments with you?
If so maybe you could ask your neurologist just to explain to your dad how long he has to wait after you have a tonic clonic before he rings an ambulance & the risks involved if he doesnt.

Sometimes hearing it from someone else may help

I have an appt in April. He finds it mandatory that he comes, last time I asked (I already knew) how long a seizure should be to cause him to call, so then he can hear it from a professional. But now I'll have the neurologist explain why he needs to call.
