I had a seizure the other night. I thought I had the tv remote in my hand and I was trying to change the channel but it turns out I had the phone and was dialing numbers. I remember a few times it would say "this number is out of service, please try another number".

I don't know how many numbers I called before my grandma answered the phone (who knows how many people actually answered their phones and thought I was some drunk). I don't have grandma on speed dial so I actually dialed her number. I talk to her every day so I know her number is up in my head but I never thought I'd beable to dial it while having a seizure.

Grandma doesn't have caller Id but luckily she realized it was me and talked me through it until I was ok. I knew what I was saying to her but what was coming out of my mouth were just mumbles and slurs. I just can't believe she actually realized it was me!

Anyone do something like this, or can't believe they did it while having a seizure?

By the way Thanks Grandma!

Yay for Grandma!! I haven't had this happen to me, but your grandma sounds really awesome

Closest I can come was when I was on the phone with a friend. I apparently had a tonic-clonic while on the phone with her. I regained consciousness and was oblivious to what had happened. In the meantime my friend drove half an hour to check in on me and make sure I was okay. Once she arrived I realized I'd had a seizure, but up until then I didn't have a clue, hadn't remembered being on the phone, hadn't noticed the phone lying on the floor, etc...

It would be great to have someone friendly talk me out of a seizure, but when mine happen there's no stopping them!

Your friend is great Nakamova!

I had a seizure a few weeks ago while on the phone with my friend. I was talking and then started mumbling and not making any sense. She hung up with me and called my husband on his cell, who was home with me at the time and he helped me through it.

Much to give thanks for, but supportive friends and family are at the top of the list...

I love hearing all this. It made my day and made me smile. Thank you. :)
