I was givin lorazapam a couple of days ago it makes me go to sleep but when i wake up my shakiness is worse , i can barely concentrate, my eyes are blery. seems like I'm in a fog.

Have you told this to your dr? I would probably bring this up to them. Ive taken lorazapam after a seizure and it makes me sleepy, but I havnt woke up with the shaking or not being able to concentrate.

Yes called them awhile ago waiting for a responce. If you read my other thread not doing well you'll see what has been going on.

The listed side effects for lorazepam include:
--drowsiness, tiredness, weakness
--dizziness
--dry mouth
--diarrhea
--nausea, changes in appetite
--restlessness or excitement
--constipation
--difficulty urinating, frequent urination
--blurred vision

More serious side effects: (if you experience any of the following, call your doctor ASAP):
--shuffling walk
--persistent, fine tremor or inability to sit still
--fever
--difficulty breathing or swallowing
--severe skin rash
--yellowing of the skin or eyes
--irregular heartbeat

Man. Do you ever need a break. I really hope they gain insight somehow and soon. I hope things don't have to change dramatically in order for them to get a clue somehow.
Things must feel bleak. If the doctor has run out of ideas what are they suggesting you do?
Lorazepam really knocks me out too. 4 yrs ago when everything began for me it didn't stop my tremors or convulsions either. Only time did. It did affect my memory though and still does whenever I have to take it. It is potent stuff when your body is not used to it.
How are you coping?

well I was told to take a half tab now and nearly fell walking to the bathroom last night, felt like something was pulling me sideways.I'm ok though just pushing on. My husband doesn't believe I have "real" seizures either. i am starting not to care.

Oh horsehead! If only people could spend a day in our shoes before they could make decisions like that. Don't stop caring. I hope your husband is supportive even if he isn't very understanding. You need someone to lean on right now! Lorazepam really messes with your ability to feel like you're on solid ground. They call it ataxia I think...when you're unstable on your feet and stumbling around. I hope you can spend the day in bed, or at least part of it and get some restorative rest.

Thanks lj, My husband does care he just believes what the doctors say. Since there is no physical reason for whats going on it has to be psycological. Nope cant stay in bed teminex guy is coming over to spray. the house is an uter disater due to remodleing.

been taking this recently daily, knocked me off my feet for a few days started setraline at the same time, when had too have more then 1mg in a day i was totally out of it rest of the day/next day
