Can riding in a car be a trigger???

In the last month, after riding in the car for a while, my daughter has experienced "weird" feelings in her head and dizzy feelings (but no real visual disturbance.) She also says her arms and legs feel weak. (But, her movements and tone are fine) They come and go for the better part of the day and then go away.

Does this sound like it could be some odd seizure activity? Can riding in a car be a trigger?

Maybe the car riding is a photogenic kind of trigger? I'm thinking of light flickers when the sun is shining, or the quick movement of landmarks and cars around her, etc.
Does she breathe shallowly when she rides in the car? Try ensuring adequate ventilation in the car (this includes no one smoking), that she sits upright, and if she is old enough teach her deep and even breathing.

Well, that had not even crossed my mind. But, as soon as I read it, I could remember the look off the world passing by when I rode on a train once.

Today we had gone for a long ride in the mountains. Lots of twisting roads.
We did have the windows part-way down and no one smokes. I will pay attention for shallow breathing and will talk with her about that.

She is an adult, but is developmentally disabled. (so she seems more like about 10 - 12)

I've been having this same issue also...whether it is seizure activity or not it also feels like motion sickness at times...really awful...it's this "disorienting" and "wobbly" sensation like you are walking on a small boat...or like you have the sensation that you are still moving when you are in fact standing still (well technically all matter is in constant motion...but you get what I meant)...it's like the brain is skipping like some scratched cd...DUH! DUH! DUH! DUH! BLEH!!! and the aura/blurry vision doesn't help...then you feel like you're in a vertigo blender (I wonder if there is such a brand???)...it was pretty extreme when I got off a treadmill once...I felt like I was sliding off the face of the earth in slow motion but at high speed lol...in fact IT LOOKED ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE WHEN THE ENTERPRISE IS GOING INTO WARP DRIVE!!! pretty intense and sickening experience...and yeah the "numb" or "weak" feelings in the legs I notice as well...also a pulsing headache at times...seems to come and go...really annoying...but really anything can be a "trigger"...a brain with "E" is a special brain indeed...

Not to say that we wouldn't be "special" if we didn't have "E"...just our brains

I really appreciate your comments. I know everyone's experience's are a little different, but your discription sounds alot like what she tried to tell me. Plus, when I watch her (during these times) she looks like her depth perception is off and like she is trying to walk through mud. She has a hard time telling me about the feeling in her head, (or, I can't figure it out!) says it is a weird, swooshing feeling.

Today it is fine. Which is the typical pattern, it starts, last a half a day to a day and a half and then it is gone.

No problem! ...and yeah it comes and goes as it pleases...because that's what "E" is all about...uncontrollable randomness...(well to a certain degree)...but after a while you just learn to live with it...with an optimistic attitude and constructive mindset of course

I have those symptoms & sometimes nausea when riding. Mine is caused from inner ear. Is she riding in the back seat when this happens?
