Anyone know what to do if you cant get SSP, as i earn below £107 a week, looked into ESA but seems they would need sick note but you have too give your employer that very confused probsbly easier too phone them but i get damned nervous around phones!!

oooo maisy this is a good question i had this very same problem ... and i never could get my head round it ... do you have a local citizen advise bueruo (spelling :O ) near you that you could go and talk to ?

yeah i do gotta sort it though, cant live without it!!, only get 2.65 an hour as it is!!

Hi Maisy,
Sorry can't help much with your querie as it is a bit different here in Australia.
If you are on a low income are you able to get some unemployment benefits?

If I remember right you need a sick cert from your GP to your employer, you then contact social services (forget what called in U.K.) they then contact your employer. It's important to make sure that you get all the help that you're entitled to and as jayde-101 has said you should pay your local Citizens Advice a visit, they should be able to talk you through it. Best of luck.

Well my employer sayingg I can't get it looked through my contract and that says I will get ssp so confused but gonna hit em with. It Monday morning as surely if I don't get it there in breach of contract
