I have been taking carbamazapine for about a week and a half now.
I have been needing to get my wisdom teeth pulled bc they came in through the soft tissue on the top and are impacted on the bottom.
Some days are better than others. Today I'm in crazy pain! I have some vicodins from my last dr visit. I just can't find anywhere to look up the combination. And I'm still so new to all this.
Unfortunately it's too late to call my doctor.
I was hoping someone would have some kind of answer. Should I avoid the vicodins? Ibuprofen isn't working at all.

PLEASE HELP!!
 
I suggest going and getting some clove oil. Mix about a 1/4 of a tsp. with about a cup of water and then rinse with it. It tastes nasty, and it will numb your entire mouth, but at least you won't have to worry about drug interactions.

Well I didn't want to go into it. But since I have been having seizures I have been out of work. It was a miracle to be able to get my meds. So buying anything right now is impossible. I have been using some left over orajel (severe pain) but it only works for about 5 mins.
 
Do you have any whole cloves in your kitchen? If so...bit down on one and suck on it. It won't be as strong as clove oil, but it will help.

I wish I did. I don't have food in my kitchen. lol Trying to find humor.

Sorry to hear you're in so much pain. I hope you feel better soon. I guess I'm lucky or unlucky cause I have high pain threshold.
 
Thank you! I have been trying to find somewhere that had some way to check out the interactions.
Normally I can handle pain. (I had a 9 lb baby naturally...They all hurt.) But this tooth thing is killer!

NOT a good idea, from personal experience.

I was on a high dose and took a vicodin
(the meds weren't working--i was waaay too depressed and not thinking straight) I was passed out for 24 hours straight.

My parents and boyfriend were at my side the whole time and when i "woke up' I spoke in gibberish. My emotions were a bit crazy. I had no idea what was going on.

I think it was because of the high dosage... I agree w/ cloves. Natural numbing and they don't taste too bad either--better than losing a whole day of your life!
