Has ayone heard of cerazette? its a hormone mini pill. Is it any.good? and what side sffects do people have if any?

You may want to look up Desogestrel which is its chemical name.

I also suggest you read the whole write up on the link.
Benefits

Third generation pills have been shown to resolve or to reduce acne and hirsutism. They are suitable for use in patients with diabetes or lipid disorders because they have minimal impact on blood glucose levels and the lipid profile. Their dosage is lower than other oral contraceptives.
[edit] Controversy

In February 2007, the consumer advocacy group Public Citizen released a petition requesting that the FDA ban oral contraceptives containing desogestrel, citing studies going as far back as 1995 that suggest the risk of dangerous blood clots is doubled for women on such pills in comparison to other oral contraceptives.

Net doctor goes into more detail about the drug.

Thanx. I have heard it can cause hair loss. Its uncommon effects 1 in 100 women. Im now worried im gna start ny hair loss on this again.

As my sister likes to say, "Don't burn that bridge until you get to it!" All meds have long lists of side effects, the vast majority of which only affect the tiniest minority of folks taking them. Think positive! I'm rooting for you that cerazette does the trick.

Thanx nakamova. Om hoping n praying it dont affect my hair because it looks like its controlin ny seizures 7 days been of keppra and i feel great. This pill is a hormone one. So lets hooe.

Exccellent! I'm so glad you're off the Keppra -- that seemed like nothing but trouble for you. I've got my fingers-crossed that it continues to work for you with no side effects.

Thanx nakamova that means a lot. I jus found out a uncommon side affect of this is hair loss so im panikinh. Keppra said that n it happened. I jus wanna b ok wi no side affects.

Anyone on the pill have you had pains in ovaries round your back and in your chest and just generally making you feel ill?

As with any meds, it might take awhile for your body to adjust. Try taking ibuprofen or magnesium to help with the pain.

i take magnesium in the vitamins and minerals tablet i take, i have been ok its only just started past few days. I just felt ill last n ight, i dont feel 100% todat tbh.

Hey dear. I've wound up with hip and back pain (and shoulder pain once) from ovarian cysts, which are supposed to be prevented with combination birth control pills (normal pill, not the mini pill). The one I had removed in february was the size of a softball, that was the biggest and caused me the shoulder pain with it.

You can also get chest/shoulder pain with an ectopic pregnancy.

You may want to touch base with your primary care dr or ob/gyn.

Hey. I told my doctor about all my worries and my side affects he took me straight off them. The side affects are unreal. Just like the keppra. I hope you get sorted. Geel free to message me.
