Hi,

I've been really off lately, anxiety/depression, and I'm supposed to start cipralex. I was wondering if anyone else had taken this in conjunction with any aed's and if it was an okay experience. I've been controlled for 5 years now, and am hesitant just because the warnings on the med say that seizures could happen or people with seizures should be careful. -thanks

Epilepsy and anxiety/depression often do go hand in hand. Cipralex is an SSRI anti-depressant that is often used. Since your seizures have been controlled for 5 years now, you should be okay. I've had E for 30+ years and suffered from severe depression off and on,so have taken some powerful anti-depressants, one that caused Type 1 Diabetes for me. Now I take only Zoloft for depression.
