Does anyone else feel as though they get deja vu feelings with keppra? Mine are mainly on a night and they make me feel sick.

In a word, yes.
I've been trying to find out if that's a side effect of the medicine, or if I'm having simple-partial seizures. Thus far it's leaning towards simple-partials because I can't find any information about Keppra inducing Deja-Vu.
It's kinda ironic because I was researching this exact topic, and then you asked about it. :)

Yep... Though I haven't had a problem with it for the past week or so, but I was dealing with it a LOT right after I started taking it.

mine make me feel sick. there on and off some weeks i dont get them then the week after i do. Do any of you get headaches of them and hair loss?

No hair loss (yet... I've only been on a little over a month), but I was getting headaches at first. Most of my side effects seem to have subsided now... but again, it's only been a little over a month, and the side effects have only disappeared for the past week or so.

yes! very much alot of the time! but mine are always i remember this time but i always think ive had a sezure on the de ja which i havent.

do u get very tired with keppra?

i was on tegretol for years alone it made me abit tired sometimes... but since taking the keppra i been sooooooooooo tired i can hardly do anything in a day, defo not work.

running girl i wish my side affects wud stop. hand of blood yes im always tired wi the keppra but im only on 250mg, i have ben ok but woke up with a stotting headache. I knw that mine is jus deja vu n not seizures. cuz am concious when they happen.

i get mega headaches on it too! everyday when i first went on it i was glad i didnt have all the side effects but its only now im noticing it all!

I surprised that so many people say that Keppra makes them tired.
I'm a little slower during the day, and my reflexes are a lot worse, but not tired. Actually sleeping has been my biggest problem on Keppra, I've become quite the insomniac since I started on it. I guess that goes to show how the same medicine can interact with different people in totally different ways.

I've always had headaches/migraines so I'm not sure if the Keppra is making them better/worse or not. :)

Yeah av always suffered with migraines too since i can remember. Yeah ur right same meds affect different ppl in different ways. Some people are saying they arent even getting hair loss with the keppra. Hair coming out is normal but not your eyebrows and eyelashes. Im always tired since taking this keppra. The only good thing is its stoppin seizures.

Hi all. My experience of being introduced to the kep/lam tag team was 8 months of sheer lunacy. There can be some very weird side effects at first- at the time I was convinced I had somehow 'damaged' my brain and the haullucinations/paranoia/rage would be permanent, however, that turned out to be untrue :)

I can't actually say I've experienced any really intense deja vu- but at one point I was reading secret messages to me in the background graphics on the cable tv menu :/

Needless to say, it was a very dark time for me, and I was sectioned twice in 6 months. However, I got through it and that was nearly a decade ago now. The only major side effects I've noticed since are slightly raised anxiety levels, and insomnia.

I even learnt to keep a lid on the old 'Keprage' by always trying to double check any outbursts- doesn't always work, but that process has actually been VERY beneficial a few times LOL

I realise my info may not be so relevent, but I just wanted to let you know I went from some very bad side effects at first, to having had many years of mostly benefits from keppra.... There is hope! ;)

wow, thats some scary stuff that mind. i get them jus about everyday. they make me feel sick but im controlling them. Thanks slimblue any info is good thank you.

Are you taking B-12? I ask this because when I was taking the B-12 shots my deja va -- which are simple partial seizures--pick up quite a bit.
When my Dr. had me stop th shots the deja va stopped.

Nah im not takin b12. I dont really want to take anymore meds the keppra is enough and that drives me insane with all the side affects. Just want the hair loss to stop i xan deal with deja vu feelings.

The deja vu is a serizure.

I was having lots of small deja vu, and like you I didn't want more medic. My Neur. explain deja uv to me this way.

She compare to --building a camp fire---its like sparks from kindling (sm. pcs. of wood to get the fire going) and with each spark (deja vu) it can lead to bigger seizure.

With me not wanting anymore medic. she went over EVEYTHING I was taking that is when she said to leave off the B-12 shots.

I dont know if mine are deja vu i only feel sick with mine. For few secinds if that then im ok. But my seizures only ever happen on a night in my sleep. My neuro is useless. I am getting a new one.
