I know that there are several types of seizures. Grand mal, non-epileptic, frontal lobe, complex partials and so many more.

Can someone describe the different types or a thread or website that does?

Okay, so there are over 40 different types of seizures. Use wikipedia and search seizures and that the site I found with the easiest explanations for them.

The most common are absence *staring off into space* atonic *losing muscle tone, aka drop seizure* tonic clonic *aka grand mal, tonic meaning stiff, clonic meaning jerk* just tonic, just clonic, myoclonic *twitches* complex partials *doing complex movements with changes in awareness* simple partial *no change in awareness, but it can be several things that it can be*
