dilantin causing damage in cerebellar & cerebrum

has anyone else been told by a dr. that there is damage to those 2 parts of the brain and the damage cant be repaired.ive been told also i wont be able to work again.i have a list of symptoms with it.all of this is from taking dilantin over a long period of time [56 years]

My Mir scan showed damage I was also wondering if e meds could do that
 
oh yes they can. its a side effect for dilantin med. for long time use. but also tegretol has the same side affects. they cause shrinkage in the cerebellar . they can cause atazia
dizziness headaches confusion etc. im going to a neu dr. im having my dilantin changed. the damage cant be repaired but it can be stopped by changing meds. need anymore info let me know

What sort damage did doc say you got..my Mir showed ischmic area he said stroke because all he could think of and doc not neuro he opthamlc...put me it real depression I have empathy with you
 
cerebrum & cereber. they are 2 parts of the brain that controls motor skills.it can cause
ataxia,gait,headaches,dizziness,etc

I know the head aches but have admit they not as frequent but lucky if I go moth without one.i think the heads aches most delibitating thing I good for nothing when they start bed dark room puke bucket and prey to sleep
