It's so annoying. Does anyone get dizzy when they lay down on one side. Now and then I get it when I lay on my right side when it first happens I wake up quickly sitting up with the room spinning. These usually go on for a week or so then goes away again. I had to cancel dentist because if I lay in their chair my head would spin and I have dentist next week looks like il have to cancel again :(

I would get a bit of of the spins when I first started on Lamictal. But there can be other causes -- things like dehydration or anemia. How long has it been going on?

A long time. When I was a kid I didn't have e. but I had real bad dizzy spells and about 5 or 6 years ago I had a fall outside when having a sezure and I damaged my right ear. I'm guessing its that or the meds or that's meds and being dizzy all my life :(

I've noticed dizziness when I lay on my side recently. I don't know where it came from that used to be the most comfortable way I laid down now I more or less have to lay on my stomach or back. I've been wondering the same thing because it's never been a problem with me before.

I'm on Keppra which I see you're on too it's a pretty common side effect I've heard on here though the past few weeks has been the first time I've been dizzy laying on my side it's kind of common for me to feel dizzy other times.

Yeah me too I loathe Keppra @.@; I never thought I could dislike any medication more then I dislike Tegretol, but Keppra is so much worse.

I'd say tegretol is terrible for tiredness and drowsy memory etc for me keppra just makes me angry and hate the world :(

Yeah I've had those problems too. I haven't had much luck with Keppra at all. Which is ironic because my doctor said originally that it had very few side effects and now that I'm reading other peoples experiences and various online sources it seems to be the opposite. I hope the change in medication helps your dizziness.

I'm on Keppra and it sometimes makes me dizzy. Honestly, I think it has to do with perhaps what I was doing before I took it or how much sleep I get. I notice it seems to come on when I haven't had much sleep or been doing something strenuous like exercise, I'll get dizzy but if I get plenty of sleep, it doesn't.

I was diagnosed with vertigo about the same time I was diagnosed with the reoccurance of childhood epilepsy, but I also get general lightheadedness most days. I'm taking Lamictal.

I find its worse when I'm at work. I loathe my current job, the people are constantly stressing and bullying staff, and its not a nice place to be so I'm always a bit anxious. We are always very busy serving customers, and there is a lot of turning to one computer, then moving my eyes up, down or across to another screen, bending over to pick up stock, then turning around again etc, all reasonably quickly because we are so busy. I know it might sound odd but I find this "focal movement" sets me off. Doing too much on a computer does the same thing, so I print out most of my uni notes and read off the paper.
