Other docs don't seem to care a as much. Dentists drill me"when was your last? Seizure? Are you safe now? So I s start worrying and panic is this worry about seizures gonna cause one? Is this possible?

I'm not sure about dentists being afraid of epilepsy more than other docs. Some docs really are weird about it though!
But I just recently realized that the epinephrine in the numbing injections they give you makes my heart race like crazy. I always just thought I was panicking at the dentist for no reason. Last time I was there, I said "please don't use the numbing, my heart always beats so fast after you give it to me." They said it is a side effect of epinephrine, and they can use the numbing injection without epinephrine next time. All these years I could have avoided "panicking" at the dentist!

Hi Janus,
Probably the best thing for you to do is to ask your Dentist if they know that much about epilepsy or why are they asking so many questions about it. I've never had any problems with my dentist and my seizures but if I were in your place I would be open and ask the dentist if they need to know anything about the seizures and try to answer the questions to help them out. I do know that my seizure meds have messed up my teeth and my dentist told me to brush my teeth twice a day and rinse my mouth out with hydrogen peroxide and it has worked great I've only had 2 cavities in 55 yrs. and my teeth and in good shape. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!

My dentist isn't, but then I've been going to him for 40 years. 30 before and 14 after the closed head injury that started the seizures.

I scared a dentist half to death with a seizure I had. So I would say yes they are afraid more than most. It's almost funny really. The dentist always had this one woman that was in her 50's I believe clean my teeth and only her. So one day I asked her if I scared the other dentists with seizures and she blushed so I had my answer. After that other dentists started cleaning my teeth.
