Hello everyone! :)
Today has been okay, I have had one seizure today. Sometimes my seizure hurt and sometimes they don't. The one I had today really hurt :( do they hurt you?
What I mean by it hurting is not if you injured yourself during a seizure, but what I mean is the actual pain you feel inside you from a seizure.

I get exactly what you are saying and yes inside it hurts always does sometimes it just seems worse than others. The mental pain is worse than anything.

What kind of seizures do you have?

I have simple partials and occasionally the back of my left knee will hurt but other than that, I don't think so. It is the exhaustion that follows that is the worst for me.

I don't generally have pain at the time of or following a seizure, unless you count a headache (not migraine). The exhaustion is what I have, along with feeling "hollow" inside, tingly, weak and feeling mentally not all there.

Thanks for understanding!!! And I totally agree mental pain can be the worst at times :(

Hello! I have absence seizures, nocturnal seizures and I'm guessing partial seizures as well. I need to talk to my doctor about that. I'm not really sure what partial seizures are. I also get very weak and sometimes have trouble with speech. But the seizure itself hurts as it's happening :( hope the best for you!

I can relate to you, the exhaustion, weakness, and tingly happens to me. The actual seizure itself when it's happening hurts:( I'm glad you don have to deal with that!

I have grand mal seizures, so I never am conscience for my seizures, but the after affects are killer. my whole body aches and i always have a major headache

I have had grand mal seizures twice and don't feel any pain as it happens. After those seizures I couldn't sit up and my speech slurred a little, all I wanted to do was sleep! But with absence and nocturnal seizures there is a different kind of pain inside :( I hope for the best for you!

I don't want to sound like a jerk for saying that I'm glad that people have epilepsy, but I'm glad that I'm not alone and I get to relate to people who also have it :) to be understood and know that we have similar feelings makes me feel not alone in this big world. It makes me feel a little comforted :) thanks for understanding! :)

I totally agree, I am so happy i found this site! Makes me glad other people understand or can relate.

Hi. I usually just feel exhausted for a while after it is over. I have trouble talking for a little bit too. I think the pain I feel is from being so tired but I'm not sure.

When I have a partial seizure I can actually feel the misfiring going on. It's the weirdest thing and I have tried to explain it to my parents but they look at my like... huh? I know you guys understand it, though. Kind of like a jolt of electricity that lasts for a long time.

Oh my gosh!!!! That's exactly what I'm feeling! It is hard to explain to my doctors and mom. They just don't understand, and mostly because it's hard to explain. Jolt of electricity is the perfect way to describe it- mine are uncomfortable though and it kinda hurts.

Ugh, that sucks that it hurts!! When I don't lose consciousness, I just keep telling myself it will be over soon. It just kind of gets me through the uncomfortable part. Isn't it awesome that we know what each other feels? I love this place!

I do the same thing- tell myself it'll be over soon. Even though it lasts only a couple of seconds, no one should have to go through this. But it's life and it is what it is. Yeah it is pretty amazing that we can relate to similar experiences :) I love it!!

I've been sore for 5 days before because of a seizure.I think I had a tonic clonic seizures when I ended up so sore. I was out of it for like 5 days after this seizure .

Hey guys, i have suffered from tonic clonic seizures which come from sleep. I wake up, feel the aura and know its going to happen. My seizures are extremely uncomfortable and like you guys no one understands when i try to explain to them what theyre like. If i was to describe it now....i would say it is like the worst case of a mixture of hardcore pins and needles, cramp and like you people said electricity running through my body. I have also felt like my arm is being twisted round and round when my parents have said that it was not particularly doing anything but shaking with the rest of my body. Such a terrible feeling, i am only concious for the first 30 seconds and have told they last for a couple of minutes by my parents....but boy does that 30 seconds feel like a life time....peace and love x x x
