Hi Folks,

Here's wishing all of you well. Yesterday I got a letter from a Dr. at Lennox hospital in NYC and today (Friday) I got a call from the Dr. and she wants to do a medical study on me. She told me she got my name from the Epilepsy Foundation and she's interested in studying genetics and epilepsy and what other things can cause epilepsy that usually doesn't happen. ex. I have to many brain cells on the right temporal lobe which never went away and in turn caused scar tissue. My question to you is have any of you been involved in a medical study for epilepsy at what were the details? Thanks for all of your help and time. May God Bless All of You!

Sue

That sounds cool! I haven't been in any studies myself.

Hi Nakamova,

This will be my 3rd study I've been in the first one was for the drug Depakene it was new and the Drs. wanted to try me out on it to see how it worked for seizures, then a few yrs. ago I had a cold water therapy done to see if cooling the brain will reduce seizures and they found that to be a success for some people, and now this study that I just mentioned. Thanks for your kind words I wish you only the best and May God Bless You!

I think it would be cool to participate, but I live near Chicago, and have a husband & son to care for.
