All morning yesterday, starting around 8am, my upper left eyelid kept twitching on and off. This went on for like 4 hours. I had my husband take a look just to verify that what I was feeling was indeed a visible twitch (it was), but he could only observe an occasional twitch, not every one that I was feeling. They seemed to occur in clusters, several pulses in a row and then they'd stop. Some seemed 'stronger' than others - perhaps this is why he couldn't see every one.
It was getting rather frustrating getting him to notice one because it seemed every time he'd try to catch one the pulses would stop. But I did eventually discover that if I yawned my eyelid would begin twitching all over again on command. (But remember most of these twitches were not yawning-induced.)
I just wanted to know if this was a simple partial seizure? I know when I felt this same sensation in my one leg (the left one), my neurologist said it wasn't a simple partial, but I just want to make sure. I know that most of my seizures begin on the right side of my brain (affecting the left side), especially simple partials and atonics. Does anyone know?
