I keep feeling like my sugar have dropped.

I have read alot in the forum about how nutrition is important, and that makes sense.

I have eaten regularly about every 2 ot 3 hours, some type of health snack,
an apple, granola bar, along with fortified cereal in the AM, a healthy lunch and dinner.

As you may have read on anothe post of my , I B-12 deficiency due to dilantin. (which I'm working my way off with the neur., he hasn't added a new medic.) and at times it feels like I am the point of seizure. Have had had deja vu.

This is not only affecting my walking but also my writing and more.
Has anyone had a Schillings test?
I don't know if is necessery.
I hate to post yet another thread on this.

I'm hoping when I get off dilantin this will take of it, but is going to take time, as you all know with any of the medic.
Once you are B-12 deficient is that now going to be the case from now on?

I know that when you join this forum, you are told to feel free to ask question, talk --well here I am again.

I know my dad has diabaties. The symptoms that he was having were being very thirsty and his mouth always dry. He was also tired alot. When he told the dr about that then he was tested and that's what they found out.

I'm not sure if things like this are going on with you or not but it could be that.

apple, granola, fortified cereal...
you must balance it with a good source of protein.
Work with food that grows from the ground, not in a factory. Also limit the amount of fructose that you take in.

My daughter manages her seizures with nutrition alone. She is med free, and has remained seizure free for 8 months.

Never heard of the Schillings test.

Thanks for your replys.

I have been check for diab.

That is great the Rebecca has her seizure under control with diet only. The side effects fo these med. are bad enough, but to also know the damage they are doing to our bodies.

A Schilling test - is a test to see why a person body does not aborb the nurt.
be it food, vit. (I hope I am correctly telling this right.)

I had E. for 39 more years and I was dealing with it fine.
It's just how I'm several diff. things happening to me. I think that they are all related to the fact of being dilantin for so long.

Jyearta,

I have diabetes along with epilepsy. I have to do insulin shots 5 times a day and I also take two different AED's. I check my glucose levels numerous times a day and I usually can tell when my blood sugar is low because I suddenly feel shaky, faint and I feel like I have cotton in my mouth. It's a different feeling than when I have an "aura"before a seizure. This comes on suddenly, whereas the auras for me are more like watching movies go into slow motion--I know I'm going into a seizure when I start feeling like that.
I've never had a Schilling test done.

Cint.

I have read alot of your post. You have or still going through a lot. It seems that you handle all the stuff great.

These new things that coming on now - well just throws me somewhat, but I getting there with all the information I'm leaning on this forum.

Thanks
yearta
