Some of you might have read in another post that I posted that I burnt myself on my hand and had to have a skin graft. While I was in recovery light was making me sick, I don't know if it was because of all the pain meds I was on at the time or if it was because of the surgery, so they put a blanket over my face to block out the light.

One of the nurses came over a while later and lifted the blanket to check on me I asked him "How does my face lift look?" You should have seen the look on the nurse's face! He didn't know what to say because he knew I was in there for a skin graft not a face lift. I'm not sure if he thought the drs messed up or what? I started laughing like crazy and he started laughing too when he realized I was joking around with him.

As doped up as I was I'll never know how I managed to come up with that to say!

What a great response. Thank god for having a sense of humor, right?

Hi valeried,

I like your sense of humor, I think it's great. I've found joking around and laughing a big stress reliever. By the way don't forget the cider vinegar I told you about to kill
the pain of the burn, then you can smell like a nice salad : )
Wishing you only the best and May God Bless You!

Sue

It never fails, you always make me laugh. :D

Off to find your other post.

Oh dude! That is fucking hilarious!!

Idk, I had a brain surgery and I was very doped up, but I saw my friend right after the surgery and I saw her and recognized her but I said "who invited you?", my right side was fully paralyzed and I told her "Katie, I can't move my hand. How am I going to masturbate?" She easily responded, "I guess you're going to have use your left hand."
Looking back it's funny.

I love your sense of humour Val.
As you know I have a warped sense of humour and my theory is you have to laugh because if you don't laugh you'll cry.

When I'm really stressed (usually at work) I will say oh boy I need a drink. The funny thing about that is I don't drink nor do I like the taste of alcohol lmao.
A few years ago my best friend bought me a box of novelty gum and on the box it says 'Move over coffee! This is a job for alcohol.'

Hahaha! Why does the box of gum say that? Is the gum alcoholic?
Actually coffee flavoured gum. Because most people say that they need coffee to get them through the day, this a novelty gum. It’s basically saying you need more than coffee to get through the day sometimes eg alcohol.
She got it from a shop she gos to here in Australia which has a lot of fun stuff & where she gets alot of my presents.

That is classic.

I'm the exact same way. My family might be so worried about something that they're crying and I'm the one joking around about it. They'll usually start laughing too which I know makes them feel better.

I do joke around about some stuff and the humour comes from my dads side of the family as my dad and his two sons are the same. We all have warped humour, if you get my dad, me and either one of my dads sons together my poor mums got no chance as she gets hell :roflmao:.

That being said I am also the one in my family who has the main issues with stress and don’t cope with it very well at well. But I was seeing a psychologist for a little while who taught me how to deal with my stress better as well as how to cope with my overthinking.
