Kaits neurologist said that Kaits epilepsy was genetic. I was wondering if anybody here had genetic testing done?

Yes, I have.
My sister thought I could have a genetic condition so went with me to my doctors and we asked if he could arrange to see a genetics person.
He said I probably didn't have a genetics condition but arranged for me to see a genetics counseller anyway.

After the first visit, the genetics counseller arranged a test caklled a micro-array test. It found I did have a genetic condition, 18p depletion syndrome I think it was called, anyway part of my chromosome 18 is missing which can cause epilepsy.
