As the title says, Neurologist's doing a great
job, and let's hope it keeps working the way it's
going ... the titration of the increase of Clonazepam
(Klonopin) is working:

Zonegran 400 mg daily
Clonazepam 4 mg daily
Folic Acid 2 mg daily

Is working so far, I do have Lab Work coming
up on Thursday, so I do not know if this will stay
put or if he will continue to raise the titration on
the Clonazepam. Have not had (with the exceptions
of the known seizure trigger which meds are not
to be blamed for) any major seizures, except for
the Absence which I can live with. They are slowly
vanishing ... a nice change. I am telling you, it is
a nice change! I hope and pray it stays this way
because I have no history of any side effects of
either meds.

Only time I ever experience these is when (bad
habit of mine) I overdo it, being sleep deprived,
or other seizure provoking issues that can be
avoided.

I do admit it took me awhile to become adjusted
to this level, but that wasn't why I wasn't online,
it was because I had technical difficulties with my
computer and my cats for some weird obnoxious
reasons (which was unusual) got into a fight and
knocked over my router - so had been trying to
repair the very expensive router. I still have my
Wi-Fi, but it has to be connected to the modem,
and I do use it sporadically, as it is a hassle.

We've missed you Sharon and are SO glad to have you back. Glad too that you're getting things under control!

Hi Sharon,

I've been wondering where you've been. Nice to hear from you again.
I, too, hope that the seizures stay under control for you. You certainly need a break.

Awesome news Sharon! Glad to see you back. :woot:

Always great to hear people's GOOD news when it comes to E. I'm very glad your seizures are under control and you're feeling well. I hope the meds continue to work and you get better and better. Sounds like you've found a good nuero and things are working out. Definitely a big WOOHOO for that!

Thanks everyone, and also of the Web-Cam, like
I've "bragged" before about my Neurologist ...
he really did put in his homework studying my
whole "thick" (as in volumes) file (historical) which
took - I assume, forever, being a professor that he
is - he just does not put the cart before the horse
and he cares for his patients; even if the patient
has to be patient. *laughing*

Nonetheless, he was not going to risk me on any
further "new" medications per the historical reasons.
Seeing the past and what DID work, being "Southern"
like my Primary and myself - like the saying goes,
"ain't broke, don't be a'messin' wid it!" That is exactly
what they do and practice what they preach and walk
the talk.

(I mean WHY take someone off of something that
is working that merely needs to be adjusted? Ever
think about that?)

==========================

The Web-Cam results did reflect one thing and
confirmed his suspicions, I had myoclonics (these
are the only seizures never captured on EEG but
it was so easily seen on the video, very difficult
to deny - while but a few different events, it was
sufficient). He had suspected I was having more
of myos than T/C's - one can become injured from
myos, and here I am clueless. I've had numerous
E's recorded, but not that one. I had to do a research
of what myoclonic was. YES, I saw myself on video,
and it didn't scare me, but astonished me how it
impacted me in the midst of deep sleep. Amazing!

(I suffer far more nocturnal in my entire life, but
seizures change, and I am "aging" now - nearing
50's and things have indeed changed.)

Now the Absence, that brief shot was a real closeup
right smack in front of the Web-Cam, and it was a
100% pure textbook case and you could see it all in
my eyes.

While I could post that in You Tube, but I could never
get myself to post something like that, not even
for an example ... I am too much of a chicken, wimp,
go ahead - call me names!
