This is the first T/C I've had in about five or six months (a few staring spells here and there, but nothing "major"). I'm flying cross country early tomorrow morning for a pretty big job interview, so I'm quite nervous it's going to happen again.

The past few weeks, I haven't been sleeping well, and have been super stressed out as well. Do you think it might be a smart thing to at least mention to the the prospective employer about my epilepsy, even if it's a turn off for them?

If you think it might be a turn off to you getting the job, why mention it? If the fact that you have epilepsy is not a danger to you or fellow workers in your potential job environment, then at this stage it is not relevant. Just get through the job interview, and if you don't get the job at least you will know that you didn't get it for reasons other than having epilepsy.

Hi skyfire,
Each time I've applied to a job I have always been open and told the employer that I have epilepsy that way the employer could never come back on me if I did have a sz. on the job. I've also told co workers about my sz. and it has never seemed to bother anyone. Also I feel that if I tell my employer and co workers about my epilepsy if they ever tried to lay me off or fire me because of my sz. they don't have a leg to stand on because I told them about it from the very beginning. (Just tell them Elton John, Danny Glover, Edgar Allen Poe, and retired professional football player Alan Faneca all have had or had epilepsy and it didn't stop them.)
I love to fly maybe you are a little worried or stressed out about getting the job, be sure to take some gum with you and chew it especially when you take off and land, it helps with the air pressure a lot.
I wish you only the best of luck and May God Bless You,
Sue

:agree:
good luck Skyfire, hope all goes well with the interview and that you are able to relax and recover from the t-c.

Thanks for all the support, everyone!

The interview went fantastic! I did end up telling them that I had epilepsy. They were actually quite glad that I did. As a matter of fact, they're offering me the position! :)
