I've had hallucinatory seizures since I was 15. They last about 30-60 seconds.

when I first had these deja vu/forced-thinking seizures, I couldn't remember them, or understand? It was like I was following a screenplay, one that was designed by god, or something, and I sort of had vertigo while it happened. I couldn't really remember much else. It was WEIRD, but sort of interesting! Certainly spiced up a bored teen's life.

Now I've had so many hundreds, I know them very well.
And I'm constantly trying to make sense of them. (And forget them!)

I have come to accept these episodes as part of me. But they have turned very scary over the past 10 years.

I'm pretty sure the content is not real, but I'm wondering if others can share what they recall from their hallucinations to see if there's any match?
It would be nice to see if things are just random, or if there is a pattern with the content.

This is greatly affecting my spiritual beliefs, and ability to sleep, lol!

THANKS!!!!

everytime i get the deja vu feeling.... my mind goes bk to privous tc sezures... like a flash back or it makes me think that im ment to have a sezure now type thing and i imagion it! i cant talk durning these times my eyes goes twitchy and it would feel like im going into a tc sezure.

ive not been dignosed with partiel sezures as yet because no1 listens but its crazy i dunno if it matchs ur exactally

Do you have temporal lobe seizures?

Cognitive neuroscience researcher Michael Persinger has done some research into a link between temporal lobe epilepsy hallucinations and the paranormal.

I'm guessing Jon's seizures (temporal lobe) begin with some sort of dreadful hallucination -- he had a wide eyed look of horror and blood curdling screams that can go on for some time (10 to 15 seconds) before the seizure itself starts.

The theory from what I have been told by neurology, and research in general is that I have my seizures based in the temporal area. So I have dream like states, deja vu, the opposite of deja vu and just very unusual auras. No doubt that I had to wonder if I was losing my sanity at certain points. But they always stop and it is really hard for me to remember them. Somewhat like a dream. A lot of research has been done on the link between spirituality and the temporal lobes. Might be worth looking into for more explanation, I will try to link some scholar articles if I can find them on my computer.

I've had TLE for over 30 years now, suffering from CP & TC's. I've had several audio hallucinatory auras before a bad TC seizure. But the "voices" I've heard are not good. It's like someone screaming my name before a disaster. Then I'm out.

Here is an interesting article on the subject:

Spirituality and religion in epilepsy.

Tlemaybe, I have the exact thing you are talking about. It goes on for about 30 seconds or so and after they are over I can't remember a thing. I have had these for about 20+ years. For a while about ten years ago I would try to immediately write down what it was about and I couldn't then I started just focusing on the one main thing it was about. That seems to work, but I still can't explain the details after it is over. Lately, I have these daily and I do believe that it has been the same one over and over. And at times I have felt like I needed to act on it to help someone maybe even someone in the afterlife. But instead I just sit still until it is over and then go on with my day. I have just now this month started down the journey of truly finding out what is wrong with me. For years I had no clue what kind of doctor to go to. I saw a neurologist last week and she thinks I have temporal lobe epilepsy. I am going today for an MRI and tomorrow for a 4 hr EEG. I hope to know for sure soon. But reading your description of these is kind of comforting to know that others are going through the same thing and I am not crazy, because I have wondered that before as well.

I get that "Oh Boy, you've done it now" feeling. You know, the one you would get when you knew your parents were going to kill you for something you had done wrong. sonic boom! Like hitting a wall of familar smells, taste, sounds, ringing ears, ringing ears. Heart beating fast, scared of the outcome, know something is wrong, but just cant put your finger on it. Get goosebumps and chills. If anyone is around me they may ask me if I am ok, they say, that I am staring of into space and that my eyes look like a deer caught in headlights, fixed and focused. Occasionally I have seen what I thought to be ghost and shapes, which makes me of course pause and think....hmmmm? when? what the ?.
I have had faces zoom in real fast and have had whispering in right ear (always same ear). I never can make out what is being said (Thank You God) and not sure if I wanna know. I don't recognize any of them with the exception of my nephew who was violently killed last June. Hard to tell if is dejavue or preminition? If Im alone, I pray, and if Im with someone or someone is near me, I tend to tell them whats going, then they usually look like their having a "dejavu moment" or "seeing a ghost", i chuckle to myself.

Priceless:
dry-cleaning for soiling pants - $12
steam cleaning soiled carpet - $125
Look on friends/co workers face when you say you seen a ghost? .......Priceless!
