Hi All!

I had a seizure on Christmas Eve. During this seizure I had something happen in the seizure which I never ever had happen before. During the seizure I walked around in circles. I don't have any memory of doing this at all or the fact that my mom called my name and I looked at her (however don't remember this either).

I was out walking wth my parents - was almost finished it - when the seizure happened. I had my warning of buzzing in my ears as per usual, then had the walking around in circles before having my usual tonic clonic. Never had the walking around in cycles before - has any one else?

I remember the buzzing in my ears and then the next thing I knew I was lying on the sofa, in my Aunt's house.

Only once, right before my first tonic-clonic. I was feeling really strange (what I now know is an aura/simple partial) and started to wander around for a few seconds before heading into my office at work. One of my co-workers told me that she asked me if I was okay, but I don't remember her doing that...I only remember the visual distortions/nausea/sense of feeling somewhere else (if that makes any sense).

And, much like your experience, the next thing I remember, I woke up on the floor at work with everyone standing around and my head hurting (probably from the fall?) and someone trying to drag me up off the floor and me falling back down on my knees.

I'm not sure why I wandered the first time...I remember right before I started wandering that I was wondering why I felt so weird and also thinking that I had never felt this way before. I tend to get physically active when something is stressing me out, so maybe it was my way of trying to sort out what was happening/how I was feeling and I just continued to wander aimlessly in circles for a bit?

Sorry to hear about your seizure.

Walking around in circles and not remembering it can be a type of complex partial seizure. Some people start with a simple or complex partial, and it progresses into a general seizure, like a TC.

When I'm having a TC I walk, too. Sometimes down stairs, out into the street, just around the house. I never remember a thing.

Be sure to tell your doctor, since this is a change in your seizure patterns.
