Hello everyone! I have a black eye on the opposite side of where my injuries are usually from my seizures including black eyes. I have had many of them but they are always on the left side. I have never had any injuries on the right side from seizures until now if that is why. Well, now I have one on my right side and I can't figure it out. I had a seizure Monday and hit the right side of my head and yes, it is bruised but I didn't have a black eye until today which is 3 days later. I had a seizure yesterday but I didn't have any bruises, etc. The only thing I can say that happened is, I ate breakfast twice. I had eaten my breakfast and was taking my coffee cup to the kitchen and then the next thing I knew I was eating breakfast again. But, still, I didn't have any injuries that I could see or feel. I got up this morning and there was my black eye. I didn't have a seizure over night so that couldn't be it. Can a black eye wait 3 days later and then show up from a injury? Mine have always shown up in just a few hours or a day at the most. It just doesn't make sense to me. Can anyone explain this?

Sometimes black eyes put in a delayed appearance after an injury to the nose or forehead. (Or after cosmetic surgery, but you probably haven't gone out and gotten a nose job during a seizure). Do you think you might have gotten smacked during a seizure without knowing it?

If you have any persistent symptoms (pain/swelling) definitely get checked out. And I hope you don't get any more black eyes.

I would think so.I hope you had eye doc look at you from time to time

I have decided I must have fallen during the seizure I had on Wednesday or maybe it was a delayed appearance from the blow I had on Monday. It was hard enough because I still have the knot on my head from that blow.

All I have is 2 black eyes from 3 seizures last week. They are already getting better. I had my eyes checked in July or August of this year and I do it yearly. He said everything looks fine. I didn't know they would be late sometimes about appearing but, now I do. Thanks to both of you!

There is not uncommon condition where tiny little bit blood gets behind iris normally sorts itself out but can become infected, black eyes should always be treated seriously whys when's wen may be sleep clinic.have you tried memory foam pillow.

For myself I wake up got bruise in odd places that should hurt but they don't I had can have up to 30 always on limbs but also wake up with tongue been bitten
