I told you guys that I was going to a headache clynic a few months ago and that I'd post and tell you what it was like. Sorry I forgot:oops:

I don't think that the dr actually understood about the headaches.

She asked me how often I get them and how bad they were on a scale of 1 to 10.

I explained to her that I don't get them on a regular basis, only after a seizure. I might go a month with out having a seizure and then have 3 in one week. Sometimes I won't have a headache at all after one and then other times I'll get one at a 20 on the scale.

She gave me an Imatrex shot (don't know if I spelled that right) to take. I took one when I had a bad headache after two of the seizures that I had with headaches, but still ended up laying with an ice pack on my forhead for hours and then still going to bed with it.

I don't think it helped at all. I waited 4 months to get in to see this dr and then sat in the waiting room/office for a few hours to see her and didn't get any help out of it!

hi, valerie,

sorry your new headache neuro isn't doing a good job for you and isn't listening. That kinda makes me mad at her. i'm seeing a really good headache specialist. I figure if anyone can get to the bottom of this, he can. maybe you could find a better neuro and try again, if the heaches are more than you are willing to bear.

My neurologist is great, it's just the headache place that he sent me to was horrible.

I think I saw a dr assistant or some type of intern or something like that, and not an actual dr. I'm not going back there. My mom took me and she works midnight shifts. She came right home from work and drove me an hour to the dr and then pretty much came home and slept for a few hours and then back to work that night.

I hate having to find someone to take me places. I usually always have my grandparents there to get me places but when it comes to driving down town in the city they don't feel comfortable doing it so I have to find someone else. (Sorry just needed to vent a little!)
